Five mountains, five different days.

Collect your gear three minutes from the station, then drive 20 to 90 minutes to the best snow in inland Hokkaido. Every mountain has its own conditions, terrain and level.

Gear sorted, mountain chosen, and all that is left is technique. These are the Asahikawa teaching teams we recommend, covering everything from a first day on snow to advanced carving. Message our LINE or WhatsApp staff and we will help arrange a lesson.

SNOWPiNK
Snowboard / Ski · Women friendly

A local Asahikawa teaching team covering both snowboard and ski, known for being patient and welcoming. A good fit for anyone standing on snow for the first time, and for women learning to ride. English and Chinese both available.

AOBI
Snowboard / Ski · All levels

A combined ski and snowboard team that works from basic balance through to advanced turns, with flexible lessons shaped around your level and what you want out of the day.

Getting There

Three ways up the mountain.

A rental car gives you the most freedom, the shuttle bus is cheapest, a taxi is fastest. Mention it when you book if you would like help arranging any of these.

OPTION A

Rental car

ORIX, Times and Toyota all have branches around Asahikawa Station. Book a 4WD on winter tyres for the snow season.

B
OPTION B

Shuttle bus

Shuttle buses serve Santa Present Park and Kamui only, leaving from Asahikawa Station at ¥1,000 for adults and ¥500 for children one way. See the bus timetable. Asahidake is reachable on the Asahikawa Denkikidou bus. Canmore and Pippu have no shuttle, so drive or take a taxi.

OPTION C

Taxi or private hire

Around ¥3,000 to Santa Present Park, the closest, and roughly ¥12,000 to Asahidake, the furthest. We can arrange a Japanese or English speaking driver, which works well split between three or four people.
